BIO ROBOT REFRIGERATOR: THE FRIDGE DOES NOT CONSUME POWER

Created by the engineering student Russian Yuriy Dmitriev, the fridge of the future is bio compatible and cheap: not powered by electricity, but cooled using a special gel of bio polymers.
In full accord with the dictates of environmental sustainability, which is so much talk in recent times, comes from Russia an invention really extraordinary, destined to profoundly change the domestic consumption of electricity and the resulting impact on the environment.

This is Bio Robot Refrigerator, a refrigerator that does not consume electricity and that was presented on the Electrolux Design Lab 2010 (contest of ideas promoted by the Swedish multinational of the appliance) which, that year, had as its theme “The second age of space“; the scientist, were called upon to carry out projects of appliances that can be used at a distance of 40 years in an imaginary home of the future.

The bio-fridge of young Dmitrev cools the foods through a special gel substance consists of biopolymers (a biological macromolecule ), which absorb heat from the outside in the form of infrared rays and radiate it in the form of rays which have different wavelengths. The cooling of the food takes place by the phenomenon of luminescence, or the emission of light produced not for thermal reasons but for effect of the particular chemical processes.

Another advantage of the Bio Robot, in addition to the zeroing of the bills and environmental impact of 0, is that it is absolutely silent and takes up little space. The appliance, in fact, very thin and can be placed anywhere (within the limits it can also hang from the ceiling!). On the other hand the appliance does not provide for the existence of the door and the shelves, making the foods and beverages immediately available.

Each product will be stored taking into account its ideal temperature. Recall that this gel is extremely elastic, non-staining, leaves no residue and is suitable for any type of form.

The Bio-robot, appliance absolutely innovative and beautifully designed, with a good chance in the near future will be launched in the market, radically changing the habits of users and consumers.

Microsoft launches hologram headset

Microsoft has announced a headset, which can bring holographic experiences into the real world.

Transform your world

HoloLens has been designed with a “personal and humanistic” view of computing in mind according to Microsoft, which is dubbing it “the first holographic computing platform.”

Unlike Google Glass, which is primarily a browsing and communication device and Occulus Rift which is a 3D virtual reality gaming headset, the HoloLens creates real world augmented reality holographic experiences by mapping holograms over everyday objects in the physical world.
